Position Summary Embark on a dynamic internship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, supporting our mission at Black Butte Dam and Lake. The position is designed to accomplish the primary goals of promoting public safety and ensuring access to premier recreation opportunities. As an intern, your major duties will involve direct public outreach through water safety programs, assisting park rangers on patrols, and managing daily campground operations. You will also contribute to environmental stewardship by performing trail maintenance and conducting safety inspections, gaining invaluable field experience in recreation and resource management. Location: Orland, CA: Schedule: May 11, 2026 - August 28, 2026 Key Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will play a key role in recreation management and ensuring public access to facilities. This includes working alongside park rangers on vehicle and boat patrols. Operational duties will involve managing campground check-ins and check-outs, conducting safety inspections, and performing trail inspections.
