Press Brake Machine Operator 1st Shift Metals USA -- Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a Press Brake Machine Operator in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace and fabrication industries. The Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating an Amada Brake Press machine for producing parts and tools from metal using a brake press, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches or cuts into material . Responsibilities: - Plans machining by studying & understanding work orders, blue prints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations on surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) - Prepares and operates Brake Press machine with the proper program, tools and material for specified part. - Prepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines. - Monitors the machines as they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustment to produce a quality product - Inspects and measures finished products and compares to the requirements to determine if the pr...
