Classification Title: Assistant Professor Classification Minimum Requirements: The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics, is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science. - A Ph.D. in biomedical informatics or a related discipline such as computer science or information science. - A demonstrated track record of research and scholarly contributions in biomedical informatics. - A clear commitment to pursuing a long-term academic career in the field. Job Description: Demonstrate expertise in deep learning, causal AI, large language models (LLMs), with a record of applying these methods to disease diagnosis and treatment in areas such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, behavioral health and developmental disabilities (including depression, autism), and type 2 diabetes. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in multimodal learning, graph neural networks, and interpretable AI.
