Job description

Summary The Staff Accountant II is an experience accounting professional responsible for performing a wide range of general accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, tax accounting, and financial statement preparation. The role supports financial operations by maintaining and reconciling financial records, processing invoices and payments, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and tax filings. This role will ensure that the department is informed and up to date with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and be an expert with and ensure compliance with all Collective Bargaining Units and other Government Contract pay requirements. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this employee must be detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable with strong communication skills.
