We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Senior Planning Officer , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £30.69 - £43.00 per hour Summary: This role sits within the Planning Policy function and involves leading and supporting a range of planning policy projects and workstreams. You will contribute to the development of evidence-based planning policies, support consultation and engagement activities, and assist in taking policies through to adoption and implementation. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Lead or support planning policy projects and workstreams - Undertake research to inform policy development and local plans - Prepare planning policy documents, guidance, and evidence reports - Support public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities - Maintain monitoring systems and analyse planning data - Provide policy advice on planning applications and corporate projects - Degree in Town Planning or related field (or equivalent) - Eligible for Licentiate membership of the Royal Town Planning Ins...
