Job description

Position purpose The Disability Support Worker sits within the MacKillop Rural Community Services (MRCS) unit which provide family support, supported playgroups, parenting and early childhood education, counselling and support to young people who are vulnerable and at risk of homelessness, in-home accommodation support to adults with a disability, and early childhood intervention to children with a disability. The purpose of the Disability Support Worker is to provide support and assistance to NDIS participants to help them reach their potential, improve their quality of life and independence through the provision of a range of living skills, community participation and capacity building activities. The service is offered to NDIS participants living in Balranald and surrounding communities. The Disability Support Worker is a part of the Balranald Disability Services team.
