Boiler Systems Technician

Job description

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. - Knowledge and ability to install, repair, and replace steam-generating equipment and accessories. - Ability to test and maintain boiler and steam systems in compliance with published standards, applicable codes, and established work standards. - Thorough knowledge of the methods and principles of fire tube and water tube boilers. - Knowledge of fire and water safety control systems. - Demonstrated ability in working with multiple boilers and pressure vessels. - Ability to repair, dismantle, install, or move machinery and mechanical equipment. - Proficient in the use of hand and power tools applicable to the trade. - Pipe fitting and gas/electric welding, brazing, or soldering skills required for steam, gas, or water service. - Ability to interpret technical documentation accurately. - Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. - Ability to interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
