Machine Operator (1st shift)

Job description

The Machine Operator is experienced and qualified to independently operate label converting slitting, inspection, rewind equipment, including the AVS and AVT inspection equipment. The inspector checks for correct copy and color of the label order, completes all necessary paperwork and inspects the order in accordance with Quality procedures. Ensures that all customer specifications for finishing are followed. - POSITION SUMMARY REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Daily interaction with production employees: Good mechanical skills and vision: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to use a calculator. Able to clearly write worksheets. Basic equipment operations skills. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and simple division. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOPs, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Excellent color perception. Must pass Titmus Color Perception test.
