Forward Deployed Engineer

What’s the role? As a Forward-Deployed Engineer at Bilt, you are the technical face of our platform to our partners. You’ll work directly alongside partner engineering teams—at property management companies, loyalty programs, payment processors, and subscription platforms—to design, build, and ship integrations that power the Bilt ecosystem. This is a deeply hands-on, partner-facing engineering role: you’ll write production code, debug complex API issues in real time, and serve as the bridge between Bilt’s internal engineering organization and the outside world. You should be someone who is equally comfortable whiteboarding an architecture with a partner’s CTO and writing a Java code snippet to unblock their integration. You’ll leverage modern AI tools like Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and others in hopes to move fast, prototype quickly, and multiply your output.
