Job description

Department Overview The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The Associate Dean for Graduate Studies (AD-GS) is responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of the Graduate Studies programs that are housed in, or interface with, the OHSU School of Medicine (SOM). The goal of Graduate Studies, and its programs, is to educate its graduates for impactful careers as scientists, researchers, and health systems/health care professionals to best serve and meet the needs of society. The AD-GS will work collaboratively with the Dean and Senior Associate Dean for Education to develop, implement, and lead initiatives to advance Graduate Studies programs, its faculty, and students, in accordance with institutional strategies and priorities and the needs of the communities we serve. The AD-GS reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Education.
