Position Overview: - Department : Health Information Management - Schedule : M-F, 8am - 5pm - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions include : generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: To develop and conduct quality audits related to Medical Records Management. - Develops quality audits of data and processes related to Integrity of the Medical Record and Medical Records Management across UAB Medicine. - Assists in the development of efficient, effective audit tools and data models in collaboration with appropriate technical groups, leveraging technology wherever possible. - Validates audits developed. - Conducts quality audits of data and processes related to chart scanning of records within an EHR for MRG team members and other UAB Health System locations as needed. - Compiles and analyzes audit findings. Notes trends and patterns in audit results. Troubleshoots root cause of issues in collaboration with MRG end users. - Develops summary reports to communicate findings to leadership and others as appropriate. - Provides education when necessary to UAB s...
