The NSD (within the National Probation Service) provides an enhanced level of management and intervention for the most high-risk, complex and high-profile offenders in the community. The NSD is based across five geographical units (Wales/SW, Midlands, North, London/KSS and East/South Central), and currently each unit has a Senior Psychologist allocated to the team.
