Overview SUMMARY: On behalf of the Navy construction program office, manage the mechanical acceptance testing process for a $2.7B, five-plus year military construction program in eastern North Carolina. Work as part of a team engineers to provide technical oversight for the design, installation, and acceptance of mechanical systems. Responsibilities: MAIN DUTIES: - Review HVAC designs focusing on constructability of systems, ability to successfully perform DALT and TAB and system performance. Verify TAB requirements are incorporated in the construction documents per UFC and UFGS requirements. For PVT, design review should focus on ensuring the controls system is complete, functional, and meets the applicable UFC and UFGS requirements. - Witness mechanical system testing consisting of site inspection, testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) verification, duct air leakage tests(DALT) and performance verification testing (PVT) for facility HVAC and other mechanical systems prior to construction completion.
