Description The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of assessment and treatment of acute psychiatric conditions, including depression, mania, psychosis, anxiety, and suicidality. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certification or Eligibility is required. Teaching responsibilities may include clinical supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents, and nurse practitioner students in provision of hospital-based psychiatric care; didactic teaching of psychiatry residents in topics related to hospital-based psychiatric care. Clinical responsibilities may include serving as an attending on a hospitalist team for the psychiatric inpatient units at Pennsylvania Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - Cedar Avenue.
