POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Consultant will collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership working on high-value initiatives targeting improvements in healthcare quality. Quality improvement will incorporate initiatives in patient safety, patient centeredness, effectiveness, timeliness, efficiency and equity. Through demonstrated proficiency in quality improvement and business methodologies, education, innovation, and role modeling, the consultant partners with programs to: 1. Plan and implement projects with cross-functional teams to achieve the organization’s strategic goals; 2. Inform policy development and planning cycles through strategic recommendations; 3. Improve performance of the Quality and Patient Safety priorities of the organization; 4. Implement standards of care including those embedded in Accreditation Canada’s requirements; and 5. Play a leadership role in creating capacity for quality improvement.
