Job description

Basic Function Under the direction of the Manager, Environmental Health & Safety, coordinates and administers all aspects of environmental compliance for the Authority. Plans, and coordinates the necessary monitoring, evaluation, and investigative activities to support environmental regulatory compliance for federal, state and local requirements. Obtains and administers environmental permits. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with applicable rules and safety procedures. Responsibilities and Specific Duties: - Advises METRO management on environmental regulations and supports compliance through program administration, inspections and corrective action tracking. - Implements and administers agency-wide environmental policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with environmental regulatory rules and requirements. - Drafts, reviews and updates METRO environmental plans, procedures and policies, and partners with departments to support implementation and compliance. - Reviews and supports development of environmental-related contract specifications for inclusion in contract documents. - Coordinates and prepares environmental reports and supports timely s...
