We are seeking a high-caliber Functional Safety Engineer to serve as the definitive architect of system integrity for our autonomous driving platform. In this role, you will transcend traditional "fail-safe" methodologies to design and implement the fail-operational architectures required for Level 4 and Level 5 autonomy. Tasks: - Safety Lifecycle Management: Directing the ISO 26262 process from concept to production, ensuring every phase of development meets functional safety requirements - HARA & ASIL Rating: Performing Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments to identify potential vehicle-level failures and assigning the appropriate Safety Integrity Levels (usually ASIL D) - Fail-Operational Architecture: Designing redundant systems for steering, braking, accelerating and compute to ensure the vehicle can safely reach a Minimal Risk Condition if a primary component fails - Safety Requirements Engineering: Translating high-level safety goals into...
