Job Summary Processes bills to outside parties for work performed by CSX- approximately $500 million annually. Reviews project requests to identify costs billable to a third party. Ensures appropriate tracking of incurred costs including labor (Engineering, Mechanical, and Transportation), material, and invoices. Provides related accounting services to internal customers. This role interfaces with multiple departments including but not limited to: Engineering, Risk Management, Environmental, Mechanical Operations, and Joint Facilities. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: - Performs customer and project setups - Manages cost recovery billing processes related to crossing accidents/events - Oversees process for calculating and billing of train delay and locomotive loss of service costs - Processes payables, typically for refund of unused project construction deposits; ensures project costs are reconciled to customer’s total deposit - Preforms various receivables functions, such as ensuring proper cash application and issuing invoices to external customers, as required by agreement or at the request of customer - Analyze various management reports to determine needed action daily...
