This position is for current RN nursing students who have completed, at minimum, one semester of nursing school Full-Time, Temporary position at Talihina. Could be in Med-Surg, OB, ER, or Clinic | Schedule: Could be nights, days, and/or weekends | Pay: $15 per hour Nurse Externship will start Monday, 6/1, and end Friday, 7/31 Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Summary: The Choctaw Nation Nursing Extern Program is a Summer clinical learning experience for current RN students. The Extern/Nursing Assistant works 12-hour rotating shifts as assigned by the Unit Manager. Weekend shifts are assigned on a rotating basis. Primary Tasks: - Seeks learning opportunities. - Performs nursing skills per nursing school competency sheet under direct supervision of the RN. - Assists with maintaining safe, comfortable environment for patient, family and staff (i.e. keep hallways clear of clutter, chairs, scales, etc.) - Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to “Patient Bill of Rights” policies. - Contributing to organizational effectiveness by demonstrating punctuality when reporting for duty, adhering to hospital policy concerning rest and lunch breaks, and completi...
