Company Description North Shore Health is a 16 bed critical care hospital with a 37 bed long term care facility attached. Job Description: North Shore Health has a full time Laboratory Technical Specialist position available in the Laboratory Department. The Laboratory Technical Specialist (LTS), under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director (LAD) and Laboratory Medical Director (LD), is responsible for all duties as stated in the Laboratory Technical Specialist Position Description, as well as additional technical and scientific responsibilities within the hospital laboratory. The LTS performs and assists with routine responsibilities within the General Laboratory as well as the specialty departments of Transfusion Medicine and Microbiology. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to: assisting with, performing, and coordinating technical and scientific duties in the General Laboratory, as well as assisting with, coordinating, and organizing Continuing Education, Competency, and new Lab Employee and student training.
