Job description

Position Summary The Learning Effectiveness Program (LEP) at the University of Denver is now hiring LEP Tutors for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. We need tutors who have a strong background in college-level Business, Engineering/Computer Science, Humanities, Languages, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences from entry-level to advanced level. This position works under the direction of the Tutoring Coordinator and LEP Associate Director. LEP Tutors assist students in building confidence, independence, and academic skills in a one-on-one setting. Tutors are also responsible for providing students with access to resources that will encourage them to achieve academic goals. Tutoring at the LEP is NOT teaching and potential applicants will need to clearly understand the difference between teaching and tutoring. Hours worked are based on student request and student needs during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters with additional hours to be approved and/or required by the LEP Tutoring Coordinator.
