Warehouse Operative - Argos - Large Item Team

Job description

What you’ll be doing: - Use a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to safely unload stillages from trailers onto the warehouse floor. - Break down stillages and manually sort stock using pen-and-paper methods. - Sort stock accurately into designated delivery routes. - Load and secure sorted stock into 7.5-tonne vehicles, ensuring loads are stable and safe for transport using hook and loop straps in line with health and safety requirements. - Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. - Manual Handling & Physical Requirements - Handle stock that can weigh up to 150kg. - Carry out heavy manual handling tasks using correct techniques and approved manual handling equipment. - Work in pairs where required to move large or heavy items safely. - Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and safe systems of work at all times. Shift Patterns: We are looking for great candidates that can work 25 hours per week with overtime available.
