Cardiac Surgery Outpatient APP (NP or PA) Boston Medical Center – Brighton: About the Role: Boston Medical Center – Brighton is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team in a fully outpatient-focused role. You will care for both preoperative and postoperative patients, support off‑site clinics 1–2 times per month, and work closely with a highly collaborative team of APPs, surgeons, and office staff. This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license and make a meaningful impact in a busy, high‑performing cardiac surgery program. What You’ll Do: - Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories and physical exams. - Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies. - Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and care plans. - Document all clinical encounters in EPIC within required timeframes. - Support patient flow and coordination of care, including admissions and specialty consults. - Work collaboratively with APP colleagues, surgeons, and office staff in a fast‑paced environment. - Participate in off-site outpatient clinics 1–2 times monthly.
