Material Coordinator, 1st Shift (AM)

Job description

The Material Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy of inventory of products, materials, and raw ingredients. They will ensure that physical inventory matches system inventory. They will be key in identifying and reviewing inventory discrepancies. Works closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure the inventory of high dollar items as well as materials that are consumed quickly are monitored closely. Will notify the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager if there are any inventory discrepancies. Will work with the Production Department to ensure that raw materials are being properly consumed in Work Orders. Will ensure that raw materials are consumed by FIFO. Investigate and find root cause when inventory issues are found. Duties and Responsibilities: - Food Safety & Safety: Always perform tasks according to Safety and Food Safety Standards. - Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA) and company policies and trainings related to food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations. - Accurately reports production t...
