We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! Organization: ABSMC-Ashby Campus Position Overview: Prepares expectant mothers and support person for childbirth. Uses appropriate teaching principles and adult learning methods to deliver information on a variety of perinatal topics, including pregnancy, labor, comfort measures and pain management, delivery, cesarean birth (C-section), birthing alternatives, postpartum, baby care, and tools to use during childbirth. Increases consumers'/patients' awareness of the support services, learning opportunities, and resources that Sutter Health offers. Collaborates with peers and other healthcare providers to ensure classes are relevant and responsive to a diverse customer population, as well as meets department needs. Fosters a professional and collaborative relationship between women, their support groups, and health care professionals.
