The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, has an exciting full time opportunity for an Ophthalmic Imager (OI2) in Plantation, Florida. The Ophthalmic Imager 2 (OI2) is competent in the theory, principles, and practice of eye care. The position documents in the EMR system and performs ocular diagnostic testing using specialized instrumentation in compliance with department standards. Core Job Functions: Performs diagnostic testing including but not limited to the below. Color fundus photography: Fluorescein angiography: ICG (Indocyanine Green) angiography: Optical coherence tomography: Automated perimetry: Slit lamp photography: External photography: Ocular motility photography: Performs supervised ocular diagnostic testing using specialty-specific imaging instruments, documents procedures, and uploads images into the electronic medical record/PACS platform.
