The Salvation Army Midland Division Madison County Corps is looking a Community Center Program Aide. This individual will coordinate and monitor community center programs such as after school, leagues, summer gym schedule, open recreations, and rentals. This is a part-time, 25 hours per week, $15.00 per hour. Monday-Friday 2:30 pm.-6:30 p.m. 525 Alby Street, Alton, IL Essential Functions: - Oversee children, members, and visitors during activities in the community center. - Enforce rules as necessary. - Assist in developing games and monitor games and sports for children, leagues, rentals, and other recreational opportunities. - When necessary, mediate disputes among participants, being sensitive to needs of all parties. - Tutor children on their homework. - Clean gymnasium and work and play areas before and after activities. - Assist in planning community center special events. - Maintain and organize all gymnasium supplies and equipment. - Train members and visitors in the care and use of games and equipment. - Record and submit daily statistical reports. - Maintain confidentiality and comply with Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines. - Maintain positive work atmosphere by be...
