Data Steward Department: IT & Change: Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Portugal: Description: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Data Stewards to join a newly formed group concentrating on Data. The primary focus of the role will be to serve as a ‘good steward’ of the data by documenting the journey of it from source to target and all transformations in between. The Data Steward will act as a bridge between the business and the technical team, helping to establish standards, ownership, and trust in our data assets. Ultimately, this is a key role that helps us manage and exploit data as an asset. Key Responsibilities: - Complete and maintain the group’s Data Catalog - Document data lineage, transformations and cleansing rules - Work with Data Engineering to ensure data is handled correctly - Help define effective Data Quality rules for the data they deal with - Work with the Business and Data Engineers to help bottom out issues with the data - Help drive root cause remediation of data issues at the platform/source - Above all, the Data Steward is expected to serve as a subject-matter expert in the datasets they deal with and serve as the point of contact f...
