Maintenance Technician I (Electrician) General Statement of Responsibilities: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties: Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Completion of any formalized training courses as identified by Department Supervisor/Facilities Engineering Manager. - Installs and maintains electrical systems that operate on alternating or direct current circuits, generators, transformers, and appliances through panels, switches, meters, and circuit breakers. - Repairs motors and other electrical/electronic controls. - Repairs and maintains electrical switchboards, panels, and other apparatus utilizing electricity. - Tests malfunctioning machinery to diagnose malfunctioning equipment. - Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices. - Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. - Replaces electric motor bearing...
