Job description

Manage highway construction and inspection activities on all phases of projects to ensure quality in accordance with plans and specifications and provide a quality transportation system for the traveling public. How you will contribute: - Compliance and Recordkeeping: Review daily records for compliance to VDOT policies and procedures. Review and certify project records. Assure project operations conform to all OSHA, VOSH, MUTCD, Environmental, and Work Zone Protection Manual regulations. Ensure specification compliance for field work, sublet requests, work orders and force accounts. Ensure materials testing meets frequency requirements set forth in the Materials Manual of Instructions and all deficiencies are corrected. Ensure utility conflicts are documented and resolved. Ensure the issuance of C-5 and notification to contractor to proceed with work. Assure that all CR documentation is on file in accordance with VDOT policy. Be actively involved in appeals process for all prime contractors and subcontractors, in annual or final CPE, and in project closeouts. Update project website.
