Subsidiary Superior Aluminum Alloys Overview: This position is responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance in the Melting department. Schedule is swing shift 6-6, 4 on 4 off. Responsibilities: - Cover maintenance vacations - Work with chemicals that require full face respirator or SCBA - Perform preventative maintenance, project work and installation of new equipment - Welding and fabrication as needed - Monitor and ensure safe work practices - Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation - Perform all other tasks assigned by leadership Required: Preferred: Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. - Excellent safety record, strong communication skills, self-motivated and ability to work with others - Previous industrial maintenance experience - Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude - Ability to pass FIT test for full face respirator and SCBA - Electrical experience - PLC knowledge - Welding and fabrication experience - Formal electrical or automation training - Basic knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
