Senior Platform Engineer, Fauna

Job description

We are looking for a Robotics Platform Engineer to extend and optimize the core software platform powering our robots. In this role, you will architect and develop the backbone of our robotics stack—including communications infrastructure, service orchestration, and the integration layer that enables perception, planning, and control modules to operate seamlessly. You will also optimize platform components to run efficiently on resource-constrained edge devices and interface with low-level firmware, both developed in-house and sourced from partners. This role sits at the intersection of our software stack, bridging low-Level embedded systems with high-Level AI capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure the platform remains performant, scalable, and reliable as we continue to expand our capabilities.
