Department: Rehab Schedule/Status: 8:00am - 5:00pm; Full Time Standard Hours/Week: 40: General Description: Mobility Assistant reports to the Director of Rehab or designee. The Mobility Assistant functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and rehab staff and is responsible for lifting, transferring, moving, and ambulating assigned patients within hospital and department policies and procedures. The Mobility Assistant cares for patients from admission to discharge. This position contributes to exceptional patient experiences by fostering collaboration and service excellence within assigned functional area(s). The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare. Requirements: - Ambulates patients in a safe, courteous, and respectful manner and transfers from bed to chair and vice versa with consideration of the age-specific needs of the geriatric adult and adolescent patient. - Appropriately uses lift equipment/aids for safe patient movement.
