Job Summary: Mine Apprentice Job Description: This position is designed to safely perform all aspects of electrical or mechanical work in a mine. Equipment in the mine includes: 4 draglines, 2 coal blending facility with conveyor systems, stationary and portable power distribution systems (up to 138KV), dozers, motor graders, haul trucks, end dumps, backhoes, water trucks, front end loaders, vehicles and shop equipment. The position also requires working on the electrical and mechanical aspects of a Rail Road which includes locomotives, rail switches and rail road crossings. ** LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE. Hourly rate can range from Apprentice level $35.45 to MSHA Certified Electrician level $42.59. Key Roles & Responsibilities for Electrical Position .
