Job description

Functions under the direction of the MRI Team Leader and Assistant Manager of Radiology. Operates and maintains a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to obtain quality images from patients with optimal demonstration of anatomic region which are used by physicians to diagnose the nature and extent of designated pathologies. Participates in the establishment of scan protocol, under the supervision of a Physician. - Maintains the appropriate skills related to patient care and imaging of neonatal and pediatric patients. Has the ability to access imaging orders and requests for completeness and accuracy. - Involves patient/parent/caregiver in care and procedure. Introduces oneself and role responsibility. Explains procedure thoroughly to patient and or parent before performing the procedure. - Allows time for and encourages questions. Measured through audits performed by managers and peers throughout the year. - Provides support and effective communications to other members of the department and healthcare team.
