OPEN COMPETITIVE: Your Specific Responsibilities: This professional nursing position delivers services to clients in Family Planning, STD, HIV, and Immunizations under the supervision of the Senior Community Health Nursing Supervisor. This position will provide services to the community through the DOH-Marion Mobile Health Unit. This position is required to achieve and maintain a fundamental working knowledge of the Incident Command System. Nursing Assessment: The Community Health Nurse will: 1. Apply nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of clients 2. Administer prescribed medications ensuring the Rights of Medication Administration 3. Log out all medications administered 4. Utilize nursing protocols in the care of clients 5. Provide client and family education and make appropriate referrals as indicated 6. Evaluates Immunization status and administers immunizations per protocol using correct techniques as outlined in procedure manual 7.
