POSITION POSTED UNTIL A VIABLE POOL OF CANDIDATES HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED: THIS POSTING IS TO FILL THE CURRENT VACANCY AND TO ESTABLISH AN ELIGIBILITY LIST TO FILL ANY FUTURE VACANCIES THAT MAY OCCUR IN THE NEXT 6 MONTHS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of a two-year diesel or automotive program, Transit Bus Maintenance 2-Year Apprenticeship Program, Department of Defense Maintenance Program, or closely related Maintenance Training Program, and one-year work experience in automotive, heavy duty vehicle maintenance and repair, or closely related field is required. In lieu of completion of formal training, three or more years of work experience in automotive or heavy-duty truck maintenance service and repair or similar may be substituted. INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas.
