Full Time: Days: Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:45pm: #GENIND Job Summary: The Surgery Assistant transports patients to operating rooms, assists surgeons and circulating nurses with patient positioning. This role performs environmental tasks including cleaning the operating rooms and equipment; and ensures supplies are stocked. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to utilize critical thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of personal accountability. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs independent procedural tasks such as transporting patients while ensuring patient safety. Assists with patient positioning and prep in a manner that demonstrates knowledge and ensures patient safety, skin integrity and sterile technique.
