Schedule PRN (As Needed): Hours: 24 Hours Every 6 Weeks Required No Weekends or Holidays Required: Department Summary: 6 Main is a 34-bed surgical telemetry unit that specializes in the care of patients 18 years and older who are recovering from GI/GU surgeries, urological procedures, breast surgery, thyroid surgeries, and patients with acute medical diagnoses. General Summary: Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: - Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with the principles of Relationship Based Care to patients based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit.
