Night Shift Valve Mechanic / Tester

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices. - Checks completed units, ensuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification. - Conducts or assists in final test to ensure proper operation of parts. - Notifies management of malfunctions. - Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action. - Conducts hydrostatic tests as required or directed. - Grind components as necessary to meet the requirements of individual components. - Follow all testing procedures - Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. - 3-5 years of related experience and/or training – preferred. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to read blueprints. - Ability to set up and assemble valves - Knowledge of shop safety practices. - Knowledge of quality assurance as normally acquired through in-house seminars and training. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -...
