Student Nurse (Per Diem) - ( 260507-50023320 ) Purpose of Position : Under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs various patient care duties in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. Description 1. Participates in the nursing process during the delivery of patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. 2. Assists in providing nursing care to patients and collects data for assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. 3. Participates in implementing a formal plan of care for the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. 4. Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (Information Systems). 5. Participates in unit staff meetings and attends mandatory programs. 6.
