Safety Technician

Job description

Job Purpose The Plant Safety Technician supports sitewide safety through participation, engagement, ownership, and initiative. The person in this position will participate in/lead committees assigned. They will engage employees sitewide on a daily basis to ensure plant employees have the opportunity to raise safety concerns, provide input on safety programs and the safe operations of plant equipment, ask questions about safety policy, and provide feedback on current safety topics. This person will own those portions of the safety program assigned to them and maintain those programs in an efficient, timely manner. Finally, the person in this role will act with initiative to positively represent the safety department as an ‘active’ leader for site safety.
