Job description

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is looking for a talented Structural Design Authority Engineer (DAE) to join our team! This individual will be responsible for the application of site, local, state, and national codes and standards to nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. This position will require the application of conventional engineering and scientific solutions to resolve technical task objectives in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner. Perform routine inspection of safety related structural systems, structural analysis, and calculations for changing facility conditions like movement of equipment and major facility modifications, and support of fall protection analyses. Ensuring compliance with applicable codes and requirements. Common requirements involve interpretation and use of the International Building Code (IBC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE-7), American Concrete Institute codes, and the American Institute of Steel Construction specifications.
