Location: UHealth Tower - East: The critical care clinical pharmacy specialist shall carry out all duties in accordance with all state/federal laws, Joint Commission standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. The critical care clinical specialist shall monitor the pharmaceutical care of critical care patients, provide requested drug information to health care professionals and patients, and participate in clinical pharmacy services such as rounding with multidisciplinary teams, participating in medication utilization evaluation, and providing pharmacy education to all healthcare professionals as delineated by the Department of Pharmacy. As needed, the clinical specialist will be proficient in interpreting, compounding and dispensing medications and other pharmaceutical supplies according to telephone and written orders issued by an authorized prescriber.
