Research Scientist ( Job Number: 39730 ) Description: University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Pediatrics - Gastroenterology: Job Title: Research Scientist: Position #:00847257 – Requisition #:39730: Job Summary: This is a full-time Research Scientist position in the Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, within the Department of Pediatrics, located at the Anschutz Medical campus in Aurora. The Research Scientist will pursue projects that bridge basic and translational research goals related to the study of mucosal immune responses in allergic diseases, under the direction of the principal investigator (PI). Duties will include independently developing projects, designing and implementing experiments, manuscript and grant preparation, and dissemination of findings through participation in local, national, and international scientific meetings, and may involve training research assistants and student interns. Experimental models used in the research will include in vivo mouse models of disease, in vitro cell culture and cellular assays, and analysis of human biopsies and blood specimens.
