Job Family: Scientist (Digital) Travel Required: None Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do: We are currently searching for a Staff Scientist to provide analytical and translational research support that will contribute to satisfying the overall operational objectives of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD. Develop and maintain inventory and accountability for reagents and supplies needed for studies in lipid biochemistry. Develop and maintain inventory and accountability patient samples. Develop and maintain clinical and biomarkers database associated with cardiovascular disease and inflammation. Perform a variety of biochemical assays including PBMC isolation, flow cytometry, ELISA, western blots. Resolve operational challenges and problems without assistance from higher-level staff. Track lab member training and protocol requirements related to the Laboratory’s research. Maintain protocols and standard operation procedures related to lab safety, training, and processing of samples.
