Meta Robotics Studio is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Component Sourcing Engineer to support the Robotics Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting, sourcing, and managing electrical components and supplier relationships to enable reliable scaling of electrical designs and system integration. You will serve as a bridge between early research builds and scaled prototype builds by owning BOM transfer, supply continuity, alternates strategy, and inventory readiness for prototypes. Responsibilities: Transfer and refine Bills of Materials (BOMs) from early research builds to scalable prototype builds, ensuring they’re complete, accurate, and ready for manufacturing - Forecast and plan future demand for electrical components, PCBs, and PCBAs to support multiple concurrent prototype programs - Source full BOMs while identifying long lead-time items and developing mitigation plans (alternates, safety stock, second sources) - Proactively work with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability and continuity of supply for key components - Research, propose, and review alternate components for BOM substitution, including form/fit/function evaluation an...
