Job description

The HVAC Specialist applies knowledge of HVAC and related systems/equipment to install, repair, maintain, clean, and service HVAC equipment. The position performs repair, replacement, and overhaul of equipment such as pumps and compressors; repairs sheet metal duct work, shroud and unit assemblies; performs soldering and/or press fittings on piping and equipment assembly; and performs preventive maintenance and repairs on housekeeping equipment. The position performs other duties as assigned. Work with minimal supervision troubleshooting and repairing packaged terminal air conditioners (PTAC) Troubleshoot and repair split HVAC systems Perform preventive maintenance on multiple types of HVAC systems Evaluate and repair housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, extractors, sweepers, etc. Pick-up equipment to be repaired and return equipment once repaired Keep accurate repair logs: Clean PTAC units prior to repair Monitor parts inventory: Other duties as assigned: Required Qualifications: Education: High school degree.
