Schedule Must be able to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts. Position Summary: The Lifeguard II position will split work hours between Lifeguard and Swim Instructor I. As a Lifeguard you will monitor activities, vigilantly scan and provide assistance to swimmers, prevent accidents, protect life and enforce regulations as well as control access to pools, cabanas, and lockers; provide first aid and lifesaving actions when necessary. This position is also required to assist with general facility maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned. During Swim Instructor hours this position will instruct students of all ages and ability levels in subject areas related to aquatics and the present subject matter by demonstrating proper technique, and teaching assigned upper and lower levels of curriculum. Attendance at all meetings and in-service training is required.
