Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Speech and Language Pathologist -Samaritan Hospital-Per Diem-need coverage for both weekdays and weekends Samaritan Hospital located in Troy, NY, is in need of a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. Responsibilities: - As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes. - Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders. - Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate). - Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations. - Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
